How I broke the news to Daddy.

I wanted to find a fast and easy way to break the news to him that didn't involve a lot of words on either of our parts. (I knew if I just blurted it out, it would lose quite a bit of its impact... and that he would just be dumbfounded, needing a while to let it absorb.)

So I posted the following to a temporary blog... after coming home in a secretive panic with positive pregnancy test in tow, trying to disguise that I felt my heart could, quite possibly, leap right out of my chest...

His response to the post was priceless. His eyes got really big. "Really?... Nice!"

He proceeded to lose it a little, but in a good way.

Important milestones and whatnot...

Remembering:

Where we met.

Where we became friends.

Where we had our first "real" date.

Where we were still too shy to tell anyone we were together.

Where you let me cut your ponytail off.

Where we spent our first holiday together.

Where we discovered we could get through anything.

Where we bought our first house.

Where we took our first road trip together.

Where we had the best meal of our lives.

Where we officially started our family...

...and where our lives changed forever.
