What's new? Let's see...
I'm still sleepy sleepy sleepy, but my tummy's not bothering me much at all anymore. (That's nice.)
What's getting worse? I'm an idiot! They say that it's normal to get a little fuzzy on the brain, but it's getting ridiculous. Let me share a really really sad story:
Colin and I are working on building gramma a new closet system from Ikea. The pieces of the system we designed for her closet have been sitting in the garage for a very long time. We finally found a good day to start assembling the pieces, and found that there were two little boxes that were taking up 3" of the space we previously thought we had.
The pieces we selected were going to fit just perfectly, so... this new development meant that we no longer had the right pieces to fit into the closet. So, I sat with a tape measure in the closet for (without exaggeration) about 45 minutes, measuring and re-measuring... trying to come up with our best option for the "new" design. Finally, I came up with a solution that was going to work for sure.
So we went to Ikea, returned two pieces of the closet, and brought a replacement one home.
To sum up what actually happened:
1. I forgot what I figured out and convinced myself that I had actually decided on something else... We returned a "small" and a "large" and brought home.... a different "large". Oops.
2. When we got home, I realized that a "large" was not the correct fix for the problem... In fact, what we actually needed was the "small" we had returned and to bring home a new "medium". Double oops.
So, not only did I not get the answer right, we returned something we should have kept and repurchased something we had just returned... which was not actually the thing we needed. And, apparently, I didn't even know what we had to start with! Arrgh.
No one is used to having to question me on anything like this... so they didn't.

In other news, not quite so depressing, my test results from last week are in, and... I'm perfect! :) According to my ridiculously extensive blood screening, they couldn't find a single issue that concerned them! Even my hemoglobin levels are "thumbs-up" -- and I haven't touched any red meat at all! Wa-hoo!
